The representative of the Ministry of Land Property of the Republic of Tatarstan took part in the All-Russian conference “Anti-sanctions. What are the benefits of import substitution in the field of IT ”, organized by TASS news agency
On November 26, 2019 in Moscow, at the Concord Hall venue, held the All-Russian conference “Anti-sanctions. What is the benefit of import substitution in the field of IT ”, dedicated to the most notable events in the market of IT import substitution.
In accordance with the government directive, by 2021, the share of domestic software in government and local governments, as well as state-owned companies should exceed 50%. The state structures that are the flagships of the import substitution process in the IT sector are the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation, the Federal Treasury, the Ministry of Telecom and Mass Communications, the Federal Tax Service, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, and the Russian Guard. This also applies to such large companies as Aeroflot, Gazprom, Russian Railways, VTB bank and a number of others.
During the discussion, leading IT vendors, representatives of state-owned companies and government authorities expressed their views on: achievements and failures in the field of import substitution in the field of IT, the degree of trust in domestic operating systems (OS) and software (software), consumer expectations.
The participants of the event spoke about their own experience of migration from foreign solutions to domestic counterparts, about the compatibility of domestic OSs with available equipment, the economic aspects of migration, the possibility of influencing software development and development. The discussion also focused on certification of operating systems and the formation of a unified registry of Russian software.
