Provisions of the anti-corruption legislation and the Civil code of the Russian Federation contain the ban on donation of gifts to the persons replacing the state and municipal positions, to the public and municipal servant, employees of the separate organizations and on receiving gifts by them in connection with performance of official (labor) duties.
Due to the forthcoming New Year's and Christmas holidays the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Russian Federation reminds of need of observance of the ban to give and receive gifts.
Receiving a gift by the corresponding person is ban violation, creates conditions for emergence of the conflict of interests, calls into question objectivity of the decisions made by him and also attracts the responsibility provided by the legislation up to dismissal in connection with loss of trust and in case the gift is regarded as a bribe – criminal liability.
