Vladimir Medinsky and the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov have discussed restoration of the Kazan Kremlin and Admiralty

Today within a working trip to Moscow the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov has met the Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation Vladimir Medinsky.

The issues connected with restoration of objects of culture in the territory of the republic and also the course of construction new and repair of already existing recreation centers were discussed in the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation.

"Now we come to a stage of coordination of restoration works on objects of the Kazan Kremlin. Works will be carried out taking into account all norms and requirements", - Rustam Minnikhanov has emphasized. According to him, various state departments which were located in the territory of the Kazan Kremlin have moved to other buildings, and the freed squares will be given for museum and exhibition activity.

Rustam Minnikhanov has noted that it becomes to increase tourist appeal of the Kazan Kremlin.

Besides, the President of Tatarstan has told about the project of improvement of the building of the Admiralty and adjacent territory for creation of the Sea museum there. The republic counts on federal joint financing of the project.

During the meeting Rustam Minnikhanov has also reported about results of the program of modernization and construction of recreation centers in areas of the republic. According to him, now in Tatarstan there are capital repairs of 42 already existing recreation centers and construction of 28 new.

In addition, in 2020 in honor of the 100 anniversary of formation of Tatarstan plans to present in Moscow a number of projects which will show property and cultural opportunities of the region.
