State budgetary institution Management of material support carried out work to counteract new threats to information security
In connection with the incoming information about the detection of critical vulnerabilities in the Windows operating systems, State budgetary institution Management of material is taken support a set of measures on an ongoing basis:
- regular automatic updating of operating systems and application software installed on employees' work computers is performed;
- instructed the specialist in charge of informatization and information security, as well as all employees of the Institution on the need to strengthen security measures during interworking with units and partners located outside the secure perimeter of the GIST RT system. Particular attention was paid to the observance by employees of security measures when receiving suspicious e-mails from unknown senders;
- the institution regularly backs up databases and other computer information necessary for the stable operation of the institution;
- measures were taken to counter the vulnerabilities of the operating systems of the Windows family on the computer equipment of employees of the institution.
