A regular meeting of the Board of Directors of TATNEFT PJSC took place today at the Government House of the Republic of Tatarstan (Kazan). The meeting was chaired by Rustam Minnikhanov, President of the Republic of Tatarstan, Chairman of the Board of Directors of TATNEFT PJSC.
The Board of Directors reviewed the results of budget execution for the first half of 2020, approved the budget for August of this year.
Information on activities related to the spread of coronavirus infection was heard at the meeting. During the fight against the pandemic, new experience has been gained in prompt response to emergencies related to the epidemiological situation. New challenges associated with the pandemic have led, among other things, to the identification of new opportunities and the expansion of professional competencies - in particular, the widespread use of remote and remote work has made it possible not only to ensure the continuity of production processes, but also to increase efficiency and responsiveness, and improve software products. The most important measures that have proven their effectiveness that have increased the stability of the company in a pandemic are: the formation of reserve teams at production, processing facilities and enterprises that ensure the functioning of socially significant infrastructure; measures to reduce the cost of production and production, increase the competitive advantages of products, develop sales channels, etc. To prevent strategic, operational and managerial risks, TATNEFT will continue to diversify projects towards the most efficient or countercyclical projects.
The implementation of preventive measures related to the pandemic will continue. Their weakening will be introduced taking into account the risk-based approach and production specifics. TATNEFT will continue to provide support to medical institutions and social services in the region, as well as socially vulnerable segments of the population.
As the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov noted, TATNEFT during the pandemic systematically approached the solution of issues related to the prevention and prevention of the spread of coronavirus infection - both in production and in ensuring the life of the regions where the company operates. “I want to thank you, Nail Ulfatovich, and your team,” said Rustam Minnikhanov, addressing the General Director of TATNEFT PJSC. “The sewing of masks was promptly organized, the production of disinfectants not only for the needs of the company, but also for the residents of the southeast of the republic.”
Rustam Minnikhanov also noted that there is no reason for relaxation yet. “We ask you not to relax, and the order that exists in the company must be maintained,” he said.
Members of the Board of Directors heard information about the company's implementation of the sustainable development goal "Clean Water and Sanitation" within the framework of the UN Global Compact. Its achievement will allow ensuring the rational use of water resources and sanitation for all and is consistent with the goals of the TATNEFT Development Strategy until 2030. The company strives for leadership positions in the industry in terms of the effectiveness of measures in the field of environmental protection. The projects being implemented will open up new opportunities and new market segments for the Company, provide a favorable social environment in the regions of presence and develop human capital.
