Appeal of the Federation of Independent Trade Unions of Russia to the working people of the country
For more than a year now, Russia has been living and working in a pandemic. We have overcome not only several waves of a new viral infection. We defeated the psychosis that threatened to engulf the entire society, paralyzing the will of people. The threat to hide in apartments for the sake of self-preservation no longer scares citizens.
The actions of the President and the Government helped keep the economy afloat. The labor market is recovering, the enterprises are working again in full force.
But the return of confidence doesn't have to escalate into overconfidence. The virus changes its shape and tries to harm us again.
Russian biologists have developed and are producing vaccines that provide real help to people, help to avoid illness or mitigate its severity. Vaccinations help build herd immunity, which should reduce the harmful damage of the virus. But the success of the struggle against him is possible only with our joint efforts. Now Russian medical institutions provide an opportunity to get vaccinated for free - an opportunity that citizens of many other states are deprived of.
Today our duty is to help ourselves and the country. We need to listen not to gossip from the gateway, but to medical specialists, scientists who say in the language of facts: salvation from the virus is mass vaccination, and today it is lower in our country than in other countries.
Trade unions in Russia protect the health of workers. Our deceased comrades are no longer up to the fight for higher wages and decent working conditions.
