State budgetary institution Spatial Data Fund of the Republic of Tatarstan continues to work within the framework of maintaining a catalog of names of geographical objects of the Republic of Tatarstan in the state languages of the Republic of Tatarstan, as well as in other languages of the peoples of the Russian Federation.
After specifying the names of the settlements in which speakers of other languages of the Russian Federation compactly reside on the territory of the Republic of Tatarstan, in the municipal districts of Tatarstan, the collected information was sent to the ministries of culture and national affairs of the Republic of Chuvashia, Udmurtia, Mari El and Mordovia, to check the correctness and reliability collected titles.
These events will provide for the linguistic and cultural needs of these peoples living compactly outside their Republics and will accelerate the creation of a catalog of geographical names of the Republic of Tatarstan.
