Today Kazan hosted a meeting of the Board of Directors of TATNEFT PJSC named after V.D. Shashin under the chairmanship of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov.

At the meeting, information was presented on the results of the budget execution of TATNEFT PJSC for the first quarter of 2022 and the budget for May 2022 was approved. The Board of Directors also heard information on the status of receivables and payables for 2021.

The meeting participants got acquainted with the results of the financial and economic activities of the TATNEFT Group for 2021. Successful performance of the financial and economic indicators of the Group ensured prompt response to external challenges, development of its own technological and production potential, rational use of resources. As a result, sales revenue increased by 59 percent and amounted to 1,265 billion rubles, net profit increased to 198 billion rubles. The total amount of taxes in the Tatneft Group more than doubled and amounted to 710 billion rubles. The volume of investments increased by 18 percent - up to 121 billion rubles.

At the end of the year, production indicators were improved in almost all business areas: oil production increased by 7 percent, the production of petroleum products and their sale through the retail network increased by 11.5 percent, tire production increased by 14 percent, and the supply of thermal energy increased by 29 percent. , at 19 - electricity generation. The output of petrochemical and composite products also increased.

Within the framework of the meeting, the progress of geological exploration work to increase the resource base of hydrocarbon reserves was presented. At the beginning of 2022, the Tatneft Group has 109 subsoil use licenses, the resource base of which includes 170 oil and gas, gas condensate fields. In general, the current recoverable reserves amount to 866.9 million tons, the increase in recoverable oil reserves in 2021 amounted to 76 million tons.

A significant contribution to the expansion of the Company's resource base and increase in production volumes is made by assets outside of Tatarstan - in the Nenets Autonomous Okrug, the Republic of Kalmykia.

At the Savitsky and Zhuravlevsky subsoil plots in the Orenburg region, as a result of the use of innovative technologies, together with specialists from Gazprom Neft and LUKOIL, oil inflows were obtained in exploration wells from domanic and low-permeability horizons. Experimental work continues.

In 2022, Tatneft plans to invest 6.6 billion rubles in exploration work, of which RUB 3.2 billion in the Republic of Tatarstan and 3.4 billion rubles outside the Republic of Tatarstan.

The Board of Directors got acquainted with the Company's projects in the field of decarbonization as part of the implementation of SDG 13 to combat climate change. Tatneft has set a goal of achieving carbon neutrality by 2050. To reduce greenhouse gas emissions, the Company introduces innovative technological solutions and implements a set of compensatory measures.

Tatneft is implementing projects to increase renewable energy generation (SDG 7), improve the efficiency of natural resource use and reduce technological losses (SDG 12). Biological methods of capturing carbon dioxide are also actively used, including planting forests (SDG 15). The company invests in innovative technologies for capturing, using and storing CO2 (SDG 9). Particular attention is paid to the formation of the worldview of rational consumption. Educational work is carried out among children, youth, employees of the TATNEFT Group and the population of the regions where the Company operates to develop a culture of responsible consumption.

The Board of Directors considered the issue of holding the annual general meeting of shareholders of TATNEFT PJSC. In pursuance of measures to ensure the non-proliferation of coronavirus infection and in accordance with federal law, it is proposed to hold the annual general meeting on June 23, 2022 in the form of absentee voting. Information about holding the annual general meeting of shareholders is published as a material fact.
