July 24 - Day of the Cadastral Engineer
July 24 is the Day of the Cadastral Engineer. This day was chosen as a holiday for representatives of this profession due to the date of registration of the Federal Law "On the State Real Estate Cadastre". An important role in the establishment of this holiday was played by the initiative of the Cadastral Engineers organization. Thanks to their assistance, it was possible to achieve a significant increase in the prestige of this profession.
Assessing the condition of the site, determining its boundaries, preparing technical documentation, drawing up a technical plan for real estate objects - all these activities are carried out by one person. An important detail: only those persons whose qualifications are confirmed by a valid certificate are allowed to carry out the above works.
Cadastral engineers currently combine the functions of several positions. They must understand geodesy, land management, be able to assess the condition and cost of the land. A very important addition to the above skills will be knowledge of jurisprudence. It is because of the high complexity and importance of the labor process that representatives of this profession were awarded their holiday. On this day, congresses, conferences, solemn meetings are held, during which employees accept congratulations from colleagues and superiors, discuss the pressing problems that have accumulated over the past year.
