Spatial Data Fund of the Republic of Tatarstan is actively working to search for the names of other geographical objects in the Tatar language

In 2021, the specialists of the State Budgetary Institution "Spatial Data Fund of the Republic of Tatarstan" began searching for 1,501 names of other geographical objects (rivers, hills, swamps, tracts) in the Tatar language.

The main sources for finding titles were:

- Tatar Encyclopedia (Tatar);

- Catalog of toponyms of the Republic of Tatarstan (Tatar);

- Laws on establishing the boundaries of municipal districts of the Republic of Tatarstan (Tatar).

In total, 472 names in the Tatar language were identified from reliable sources. The search for 1,029 titles continues, the sources of information are determined.

Additionally, an analysis of archival scientific works (dictionaries, encyclopedias, maps, catalogs) will be carried out.
