        In accordance with the order of the Federal Agency for Technical Regulation and Metrology of 14.07.2013 № 159-item "The adoption and enforcement of the Russian Classifier of municipalities DC 033-2013" from January 1, 2014 instead of OKATO( Russian National Classifier of Political Subdivisions) introduced OKTMO (Russian National Classifier of municipal units territories).

OKTMO - new codes consist of eight characters for municipalities and eleven signs for settlements.
