June 30 in Zavolzhsky district of the city of Ulyanovsk in the park "Pribrezhnyi" was held the 30th anniversary Tatar national holiday "Sabantuy", which gathered a huge number of guests. The total number of participants of the Sabantui reached more than 5000 people
The Head of the Zavolzhsky District Administration Nail Yumakulov, the Minister of Land and Property of the Republic of Tatarstan Azat Khamaev and the Chairman of the Council of the Zavolzhsky District Public Organization "Ulyanovsk Regional Tatar National Cultural Autonomy" Rafael Nazmutdinov made a welcoming speech and congratulated the holiday.
Representatives of the World Congress of Tatars (Kazan), Buinsky, Drozhzhanovsky, Spassky municipal districts of the Republic of Tatarstan and the rector of the Kazan Higher Muslim Madrasah named after the 1000th anniversary of the adoption of Islam Ziganshin Ilyas Khazrat also participated in the national holiday.
Spectators of “Sabantuy” were able to see a surprisingly colorful concert program filled with national color. In the concert program the best numbers were performed by the Tatar vocal ensemble "Leisyan", songs were performed by popular artists of the Republic of Tatarstan Insaf Safin, Guzel Malikova, Albert Gafurov.
