As of October 19, 2018, the Ministry of land and property of the Republic of Tatarstan, on the basis of statements by operating organizations, adopted orders to approve the boundaries of protection zones of gas distribution networks with a total length of about 204 kilometers and impose encumbrances on land plots comprising them with a total area of 81.3 hectares in Kazan, Aznakaevsky, Alkeevsky, Alekseevsky, Atninsky, Bugulminsky, Yelabugsky, Laishevsky, Leninogorsky, Spassky, Chistopolsky municipal districts of the Republic of Tatarstan .
The security zone of the gas distribution network is a territory with special conditions of use, established along the routes of gas pipelines and around other gas distribution network facilities in order to ensure normal conditions for its operation and to exclude the possibility of its damage.
Economic activities and the use of land in which territories or gas pipelines are located takes place under special conditions. This is due to the fact that in accordance with the legislation of the Russian Federation, gas distribution networks are classified as hazardous production facilities. This is due to the explosive and flammable properties of the gas transported through them.
