From January 1, 2019, the minimum wage in the Russian Federation is 11,280 rubles per month

In connection with the adoption of Federal Law No. 481-ФЗ dated December 25, 2018 “On Amending Article 1 of the Federal Law «On the Minimum Wage» from January 1, 2019, the minimum wage in the Russian Federation is 11,280 rubles per month.

By virtue of Articles 129, 133 of the Labor Code of the Russian Federation, the total amount of monthly wages accrued to an employee who has fully completed the working time standard for this period and fulfilled the labor standards (labor duties) cannot be lower than the established minimum wage.

In this regard, employees of state and municipal organizations in the event that their monthly salary level, provided they complete the monthly work time norm, do not reach the established minimum wage (January 11, 2019) from January 1, 2019, ensure that her to the specified value.

At the same time, the minimum wage is provided both at the expense of the relevant budget, including compulsory health insurance, and extra-budgetary funds, as well as funds received from business and other income-generating activities.

Managers who have committed violations of labor legislation in terms of ensuring the established state guarantee for the payment of the minimum wage for employees of state and municipal institutions of the Republic of Tatarstan in accordance with Federal Law No. 481-FZ of 12/25/2018 at least 11,280 rubles per month are involved in administrative responsibility in accordance with Art. 5.27 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation.
