A year and a half has passed since the beginning of the provision of support measures to tenants of state and municipal property in connection with the spread of coronavirus infection COVID-19 in the Republic of Tatarstan. In accordance with federal legislation, on April 22, 2020, two orders were adopted (No. 820 and No. 821) and a resolution (No. 314) of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan on the conditions for postponement and exemption from rent for tenants of state property of the Republic of Tatarstan. On the basis of these regulations, each municipal entity of the republic has approved its own regulations to provide support measures to tenants of municipal property.
According to the current regulations, support measures can be provided in the presence of rent arrears that arose before the end of 2020, if the tenant meets the established criteria and applies with an application. In total, in the Republic of Tatarstan, leaseholders of state and municipal property were provided with support measures in the amount of 85.6 million rubles, including exemption from rent in the amount of 20 million rubles. 90% of individual entrepreneurs and legal entities that received support are small and medium-sized businesses.
