Work on updating the catalog of names of geographical objects of the Republic of Tatarstan continues
Today, a meeting on the issue of legitimizing the catalog of names of geographical objects of the Republic of Tatarstan in the Tatar language, as well as in other languages of the peoples of Russia living compactly on the territory of Tatarstan, with the participation of the Deputy Minister of Justice of the Republic of Tatarstan Mukharryam Ibyatov and the Deputy Director of the Institute language, literature and art. G. Ibragimov of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tatarstan Oleg Khisamov was held at the State Budgetary Institution Spatial Data Fund of the Republic of Tatarstan.
Earlier, the Fund's specialists did a lot of work to collect and clarify the names of settlements in the languages of the peoples of the Russian Federation in relation to geographical objects of the Republic of Tatarstan, as well as to verify the data obtained in other subjects.
At the meeting, they discussed the procedure for coordinating the catalog of names of geographical objects of the Republic of Tatarstan in the Tatar language with the state authorities of the republic, as well as the procedure for entering the names of a settlement in other languages of the peoples of the Russian Federation living compactly on the territory of Tatarstan. In addition, the participants proposed to develop regulatory legal acts on maintaining a catalog indicating the sources of the data received, the frequency of updates, etc.
