The thirty-fourth meeting of the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan of the sixth convocation took place today. The agenda, according to the decision of the Presidium, included 28 issues, among which the approval of the Agreement on establishing the location of the border between the subjects of the Russian Federation - the Republic of Tatarstan and the Republic of Mari El of August 12, 2022 No. 40 was considered. The agreement was presented to the deputies by the Minister of Land and Property Relations of the Republic of Tatarstan Fanil Agliullin. Earlier, the Ministry of Land and Property of the Republic of Tatarstan was entrusted with carrying out work to determine the border of the republic. The State Budgetary Institution “Space Data Fund of the Republic of Tatarstan” was appointed the direct executor of the work by order of the Ministry.
Work to determine the border with the Republic of Mari El has been carried out since the end of 2019. Zelenodolsky, Vysokogorsky, Atninsky, Arsky and Baltasinsky regions of the Republic of Tatarstan are located on the border (from the side of the Republic of Mari El - the city of Volzhsk, Volzhsky, Morkinsky and Mari-Tureksky regions). The length of the border is 334 kilometers.
Until mid-2020, the State Budgetary Institution "Spatial Data Fund of the Republic of Tatarstan" carried out work to collect the necessary cartographic material and create a primary project for crossing the border. Meetings were held in the mode of videoconferencing, meetings in Yoshkar-Ola, joint trips to establish the nodal point of the borders of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Republic of Mari El, the Kirov region and to the border section near the city of Volzhsk.
The presented Agreement was adopted unanimously by the deputies.
