Meeting on sharing of cultural heritage for religious purposes

Today, under the chairmanship of the Deputy Minister Sergei Demidov, a meeting held with representatives of the Kazan Diocese of the Russian Orthodox Church (Moscow Patriarchate), the Ministry of Culture of Tatarstan and its subordinate agencies on sharing of the cultural heritage for religious purpose - building of Joy of All Who Sorrow Cathedral of St. John the Baptist Monastery, located in Zelenodol'sk district, Svijazhsk.
During the meeting it was decided to transfer the Cathedral to religious organization for gratuitous use.
Kazan Diocese of the Russian Orthodox Church (Moscow Patriarchate) gave recommendations on submission of the required documents.
