31 July 2015, Friday

The prime minister of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev allows reduction of terms of withdrawal of not used farmlands from five to three years.

"It is necessary to make everything to those people who received the earth, but refuses to process it, there were incentives — or to start it doing, or to hand over this earth — under the threat of collecting fines" — Medvedev told at the meeting with a regional asset of the party "United Russia" in Novosibirsk. "Perhaps — now I’m not formulate finally — it needs to consider a question to include these two years in three years. And then total period will be not five years, but three years. And it will simplify seizure of land plots in case it is necessary" — the prime minister offered.

He paid attention that about 60% of not used lands of agricultural purpose belong to the Russian Federation and municipalities. Medvedev demanded that the authorities of all levels used these areas more actively because "the earth — it is wealth which creates new wealth".

At the beginning of this year in Russia is adopted the bill raising penalties for inappropriate use of farmlands. For non-use of the land plot from lands of agricultural purpose according to its purpose the size of an administrative penalty is established in percentage of the cadastral cost of the corresponding land plot.
