The Minister of Land and Property of the Republic of Tatarstan Fanil Agliullin held a meeting on increasing the forest cover of the Republic of Tatarstan with the participation of representatives of the Office of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan, and the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan.
At present, the concerned ministries, together with the local self-government bodies of the municipal districts of the Republic of Tatarstan, are working on the selection of degraded (disturbed, occupied by ravines and other inconveniences) agricultural land that is in state and municipal ownership and is not suitable for agricultural use for further planting of forests.
